7. LAOAG CITY (LAOAG CHURCH, SHRINKING BELL TOWER, PASUQUIN BAKERY, BACARRA CHURCH & BELL FRY TOWER)
We had our lunch at Laoag City. Laoag for me is "The Fountain City". The highways and plazas are full of beautiful and refreshing fountains.. Laoag City has lots of dining restaurants. From carinderias to fast food establishment. We chose Mc Donalds, as it is a few steps away from our parking area, near also to market and to one historical site, the Laoag Shrinking Bell Tower.
Shrinking Bell Tower- known to shrink an inch/ year
Baccara Church and Bell fry tower- the only dome-less bell tower in the country
Pasuquin Bakery- known for it's soft biscocho
It's around 2 pm, and Sir Troy drove us to the Pasuquin Bakery. We are not yet hungry, but few more vans parked, and people bought Biscocho. I am looking for the white square bisquits displayed, but no, the vendor corrected us, "Mam ito po yun", handling herself a plastic filled with 10 soft breads. Looked like pandesal.
What? a Soft Biscocho? Well, only here at Pasuquin you can find these.
The taste? It's pretty delicious.
Price/ pack- P80.
Then I asked our guide, " Sir baka naman meron din jan, Pandesal na hard?" Hehehe
